Research Methods in Psychology

This course addresses the application of various research methods of inquiry in application to theory and practice for the purpose of knowledge building and the development of best practice. Emphasis is on developing general research skills that can be applied within any area of psychology. The content of this course includes research design, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, systematic evaluation of practice, and evaluation of theory. The focus is on the development of research and practice with individuals, groups, organizations, and communities. Prerequisite: PSYC 2003 Corequisite: PSYC 2023
