This course is intended to complement the learning experience in HSCI 191 Fundamentals of Nutrition by providing practical, do-at-home labs that will introduce fundamental concepts in units, weights and measures, and food-related chemistry and biomolecules. Additionally, labs will emphasize elements of the scientific process, and familiarize students with standard laboratory skills of note taking, critical thinking, and some data interpretation.
