Data Analytics Methodologies

An introduction to statistical, quantitative, and technological methods that allow for parsing, cleaning, and formulating observations from datasets. Python, R, Javascript, Excel, are just a few popular tools that information designers use to prepare their numbers into usable materials for charts and graphs. These platforms will be briefly covered and introduced to students as introductions to the larger world of analytics. Topics will include how to format tables, collect data, prepare surveys, interpret statistics, and consider the full life cycle of data creation. Concepts will be reinforced by personally driven data projects created in accessible platforms. Attendance Days/Times: Saturday, 2:00pm - 5:00pm (EST)
